Chinese Sweets

So, the other week I was making my way into my town centre via public transport and on this particular day I was travelling during rush hour so the train I was on was absolutely chock-a-block!
When I say chock-a-block I don't mean there were just no seats available, oh no, I mean people were literally pressed up against each other getting extremely awkward being in everyones personal space. Luckily, I managed to get a seat and I was very happy plugged into my iPod in my own little bubble. Then at one of the stops this small, sweet, elderly Chinese lady with a walking stick got on the train. Obviously, this lady clearly needed the seat more than I did, so I got up and offered it to her. She thanked me profusely and seemed so happy to have been offered a seat. Then, the next second, she was reaching over and pushing these little sweets into my hand! She insisted I took them as a thank you for giving her the seat! It was honestly such a sweet thing and it put such a huge smile on my face.
I think I'll be keeping these sweets as a little keepsake. It made my day when she seemed so thankful just for me doing that one simple gesture so it's nice to have something to remind me of that!

I hope you enjoyed that little blog post. Just a short one today but I wanted to share that on my blog because it honestly made me so happy!
