Wedding Make-Up Look

This weekend just gone myself and the rest of my family all went to my cousins wedding reception. She actually got married in Greece and as she couldn't have every one of her friends and family there with her, she had a reception here in rainy old England as well. So I decided to share with you the make-up look I wore for the wedding. It is quite similar to the previous party make-up look I did however I used more sparkle in this one as I wanted to add a bit of glitz and glamour for the wedding!

Rimmel London BB Cream - Light
Collection Lasting Concealer - 1 Fair
No7 Directional Powder Brush
Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder - 003 Peach Glow
Natural Collection 'Blushed Cheeks' Blusher
 No7 Stay Perfect Eye Base
Body Collection Eyeshadow Palette
Maybelline New York Gel Eye-liner - 08 Black Gold
Maxfactor Mascara
Maybelline New York Colour Sensational Lipstick - 547 Pleasure Me Red
All brushes came in a set that I got given for my birthday.

I started off by applying the BB Cream all over my face and blending it all in with my fingers. I find it so much easier using my fingers rather than a brush especially with it being a BB Cream because it feels a lot more like moisturiser than make-up. I seem to be cutting out foundation recently as well, I really like my makeup being light at the minute.
I then applied my No7 Eye Base to both eye lids!

I then took the centre brush in the picture above (none of my brushes seem to have names) and used it to apply my eyeshadow. I applied a shimmery white to the corners of my eyes and a shimmery grey all over the rest of my eyelids!

Then, using the bottom brush in the picture shown above, I blended a shimmery black eyeshadow into the crease of my eyes and brought it all the way over the top. It helps if you do this bit by bit rather than having too much on your brush at once otherwise it can go horribly wrong! I then cleaned my brush and in slow circles blended the outer line of the black eye-shadow to soften the harsh line.
Now for the time consuming bit! I used the top brush shown in the picture above for my eye liner. It's an angled brush which makes it so easy to get a really defined line and more precise flick.

Now for the mascara!
I used a Maxfactor mascara which I've been using for years and I still seem to go back to it all the time. It really lengthens your lashes and doesn't tend to clump at all!

I then applied my Lasting Perfection Concealer at the corners of my nose, under my eyes and wherever I had a spot or blemish.
Using my fingers I then dabbed my Blushed Cheeks blusher onto the apples of my cheeks, and followed that by applying my Rimmel London Stay Matt powder all over my face!

And now the lipstick!
I didn't actually end up wearing this lipstick on the night because we were having a meal and it doesn't tend to stay on very well when you eat and drink, but I thought it added a little something extra to the look so I tried it out just incase. This lipstick is the Maybelline NY Colour Sensational Lipstick in 547 Pleasure Me Red and I absolutely love it!

So that was my wedding make-up look!
I'm aware it's quite similar to my last one but I decided to glam this one up a bit with the shimmery eye-shadow and darker lips.
I hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for reading!

  1. Wow you're so pretty :) I'm in love with the final look <3
Normally I don't use bright colours on the lips, but lately I've found how red lips can make a whole look by itself and some mascara.
