Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas | Book Recommendation

I bought this book on a whim one day, purely because the blurb grabbed my attention and the first page put so many questions into my head! I hadn’t heard of this book before so I was excited to dive into it and see if I’d found something special. It ended up sitting on my shelf for quite a while until I finally picked it up back in January!

I can’t really go into much detail about this book without completely spoiling things, but it’s basically a thriller about a group of teenage friends who jet off on holiday together for spring break, expecting the perfect holiday, but what they get is far from it. Everything is going ship shape and shiny, until one friend is found in the apartment having been brutally murdered. The book then follows the story of the group of friends as they attempt to find the killer, and fight for their freedom!
The book doesn’t follow chronological order, it’s kind of this ‘flashback’ type of structure, which is a cool idea and it helps to build the story up and piece things together along the way, but I did at times feel a bit thrown off from the story and definitely enjoyed the ‘real time’ chapters over the flashbacks!
I feel like this is one of those books where you have to keep reading. Even if you don’t enjoy certain parts, you have to know who did it. It throws so many suspects at you and makes you question so many things that you’re itching to find out who it was.
As much as I loved the ending, it confused the heck out of me! I thought it was great, I thought it was so disturbing and shocking, but it ends with just telling you who did it, and I wish it gave you a bit more in regards what actually happened! I had so many unanswered questions!
If you like thrillers, I would recommend this book! I picked this up in a 3 books for £5 deal so I’m sure you’ll be able to find it pretty cheap somewhere! It’s intense and disturbing and well worth a read, even if I do wish the ending gave me a bit more information!

I hope you enjoyed my first book recommendation! Let me know in the comments if you've read this book and what you thought of it, or if you intend to pick it up now that you've heard of it!
