Book Haul | 4

The past few months have been ridiculous in terms of book buying! I don't know what's come over me but I just couldn't stop. This is actually the second part of a massive amount of books that I bought so if you haven't yet seen my previous book haul, you can find that HERE!

The first book I have to show you guys is Red Rising by Pierce Brown. I've heard a lot of people talking about this book, mainly book reviewers on Youtube, and I am yet to find someone who hasn't enjoyed this book so of course I picked it up! It's set on Mars and I believe is associated a lot with The Hunger Games (which I adore) so I'm looking forward to getting to this!
The second book that I purchased is City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. I know I know, I'm ridiculously late to the party, but I have never read any of the Mortal Instruments Books! Pretty much everyone who I know that is into books has read this series so I decided it was about time I picked up the first book. I believe this is a fantasy series about a young girl who discovers a new world full of demons and demon hunters, I can't wait!

The next book is The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion, which is the sequel to The Rosie Project, which I already own and have hauled before HERE! I haven't read either of these so I'm afraid I can't tell you much about the sequel as I haven't read the blurb, but I am really excited to read these as I've heard only good reviews and they are apparently quite funny books as well so I look forward to that!
The next one I picked up is The Sin Eater's Daughter by Melinda Salisbury. I was drawn to this book by the cover but when I picked it up and read the blurb, I immediately put it in my basket! This is about a girl who can kill people with a single touch. It's completely out of my comfort zone but I'm really trying to read variety so hopefully I enjoy it!
The final book I actually had on pre-order for a while and that is All I Know Now by Carrie Hope Fletcher. In this book Carrie looks back on her life in high school and compares all the things she did then with everything she knows now. I recently read this and it was a lovely read so if you're currently in school, or even if you've left already like me, I would recommend this book!

These next 3 books I picked up in Asda on one of their book deals. I had heard of this series for a while and heard that a lot of people really liked Sylvia's writing. I'm intrigued to read this as I think it's something that you can easily fly through and I might see if I can get through these on my holiday. All I know is they're a romance series so hopefully I enjoy them!

For these next books, I was completely embracing the child within me, and after recently having seen How To Train Your Dragon 2, I decided I wanted to collect the books! I had no idea there were so many but I picked up How To Be A Pirate, How To Cheat A Dragon's Curse, How To Speak Dragonese and How To Ride A Dragons Storm! I reckon I'll read these pretty quickly so I might save these for the end of the year if I'm not up to speed on my reading challenge!

And that concludes this book haul!
Let me know in the comments if you're interested in any of these books or what books you're currently reading!

  8. Couldn't find the review about All I know now and i'm wondering was it good then, do you recommend? I'm from Estonia actually but recently I've been really into reading books in English and right now I really struggle to find any good books. I recently read book called If I stay. Really liked that one but something else I've found so far is book called all the bright places and then all I know know. I'm not very into Harry Potter kind of style unfortunately so if you have any other suggestions what to read then that would be lovely. :)

    1. Hi! I do apologise for not having the review of All I Know Now up yet! I do have it scheduled to come soon I've just had a lot of posts that I really wanted to share first! But yes I do recommend it! :) I'm a little older than the target audience the book is intended for so I didn't fully get as much out of it as someone in high school would, but it is still a fantastic read and basically just gives you a massive smile and warms your heart! :) There are so many books I could recommend but recently the books I've read that I've enjoyed are Talon by Julie Kagawa, which I do already have a review of it posted on my blog! And also I'm currently reading the Divergent series by Veronica Roth which I'm also really really enjoying! I hope you find some books you like and happy reading! :) xxx
