Book Haul | 5

It's time for another book haul! Albeit a smaller book haul this time, but a book haul nonetheless. I've heard a lot of good things about all of these books so I'm very excited to be adding them to my collection!

The first set off books that I have to show you guys is the Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth. I'm pretty sure these books have been out for a long long time, given that the second film has already been released this year. I've heard very mixed opinions on these books, some people adore them, some people hate them. I have to say, given that I've just finished reading the first book divergent, that I really like them!
I really couldn't fault divergent in any way. I'm not going to say anything that happens in these books because I want anyone who hasn't read them to be as shocked as I was, but divergent has some pretty gruesome and terrifying things that go on in it! It's set in the future where the world is divided into these things called factions, which keep the peace and order. There are 5 factions, all with different morals, and it follows the story of a 16 year old girl named Tris as she discovers and learns new/terrifying things about her chosen faction.
I'm just about to start reading the second book, insurgent, and I cannot wait. I really hope I continue to love these books even more and based on the first one, I would definitely recommend giving them a go!

The next book I picked up is Half Bad by Sally Green. I pretty much have no idea what this book is about as the blurb is only a tiny one, but I've heard lots of good things about it. It tells us there is a boy named Nathan Byrn and that he is half white witch and half black witch. His mother is a healer and his father is a killer, my only guess is that it follows some sort of war between the two halves!
The next book that I got is Throne Of Glass by Sarah J Maas. I realise I'm really late to this party and that pretty much everybody has already read and loved this series. It follows a young assassin called Celaena, who unfortunately gets herself captured. Her capturer offers her the chance for freedom if she fights in place of the prince. If she wins she gets to go free, if she fails she dies! Pretty much everybody I've seen talk about this book has loved it so I have no hesitations in picking this book up pretty soon!

The last three I got were the Hush Hush trilogy by Becca Fitzpatrick. Again I think these came out a long long time ago and I haven't really seen many reviews of them so they were kind of an impulse buy!
Again, the blurb is quite vague but it's essentially a fantasy romance, following a young girl who meets a mysterious boy and finds herself in a war between 'the immortals' and 'the fallen'! It also seems pretty dark and twisted which is something I'm kind of getting into right now so I'm pretty excited to read these.

Let me know in the comments if you've read any of these books and what you thought of them, or if you have any recommendations of books I might enjoy!
