Summer Evening Eye Make-Up

Today I thought I would share with you guys a natural, summer evening make-up look! It's only recently that I've managed to become fairly decent at doing eye-shadow and eye-liner, so I thought I would do an easy 'tutorial' for fellow make-up novices out there!

P.S. My eyebrows are a mess, I'm growing them out!
I started off by priming my eyes using the SIN Champagne Shimmer Primer from Urban Decay. I still have four different tester primers from my naked palette so I'm slowly making my way through them. I apply this all over my lid and all the way up to my brow bone!

Judging by the picture above, you can see that when I first put the eyeshadow on, it looks a bit of a mess! I took the brush that comes with the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and using the thin smaller end, applied the colour Tease all over my lid and into my crease. I don't fully concentrate on what I'm doing at this point, just slop on as much of the colour as you want because the blending will do all the work later.

As you can see, it looks a lot better blended. I avoided blending the colour on my lid as I want to keep that quite strong, but in my crease I made sure I blended the colour out. I took the bigger fluffier side of my brush and just moved it around in quick circles moving up and down the crease!

I was skimming through Pinterest the other day, and I saw a lot of make-up looks that had a shimmer colour on the lid, and a darker matte colour in the crease and I thought I would give that a go. Once I'd blended out the colour Tease, I took the colour Chopper and applied this all over my lid. Again, I didn't bother to keep perfectly neat as I plan to blend this out as well.

As you can see, it's much better blended! I just roughly blended through my crease using the fluffy end of the brush. I did contemplate leaving the look like this, but I couldn't not wear eye-liner!

Instead of using my usual liquid black eyeliner, I went digging through my make-up collection and found a brown eyeliner pencil. Usually, I do a cat flick as I have quite small eyes so I like to enhance them in any way that I can, but I wanted to go for a more natural look so today I just lined my top lash line and bottom water line.

The final product I used was my trusty Maxfactor Masterpiece Mascara. It doesn't clump and applies very easily!

And this is the finished look!
I really enjoyed having a more natural makeup look and I feel like the brown eyeliner worked quite well with my green eyes.
I hope you enjoyed my little attempt at a make-up tutorial!
