Talon/Rogue by Julie Kagawa | Book Recommendation

'To the outside world Ember Hill is an ordinary girl, but Ember has a deadly secret. A dragon hiding in human form, she is destined to fight the shadowy Order of St George, a powerful society of dragonslayers.
St George soldier Garret is determined to kill Ember and her kind. Until her bravery makes him question all he's been taught about dragons.
Now a war is coming and Garret and Ember must choose their sides - fight to save their bond or fulfil their fate and destroy one another'

I’m not quite sure why, but I’ve been loving books about dragons recently! They all sound so exciting and interesting and when I read the blurb to Talon by Julie Kagawa, I couldn’t resist. It mixes fantasy with romance and sounded like such an exciting read!
Talon is the first book in a saga (I’m not sure how many books there will be), and as you can see from the blurb we follow the story of a young girl dragon and a human boy. The book is told from both of their points of view, which I really enjoyed! I loved both of the characters so I didn’t mind which character I heard the story from. One of my favourite things about this book though is how fast-paced it was. It doesn’t leave you bored and waiting for things to happen, there’s always something interesting going on! I also really loved the world building, it was so interesting and done so well that it really makes you believe that there could be dragons on earth.
The minute I finished Talon, I had to purchase the second book Rogue and read it straight away! I won’t tell you the blurb to the second book because that will spoil the first one, but oh my goodness, the second book was incredible! It was just non-stop! Something exciting and nerve-wracking was happening constantly and I adore books like that! I’m not a fan of when books just coast throughout and then have the giant climax chapter at the end, I want to be entertained all the way through!
Both books also follow a love triangle and I cannot for the life of me work out who I prefer. I think I know, but judging by the way Rogue ended, I'm not sure if it's going the way I want it to!
I honestly urge everyone to start reading this series. I for one cannot wait until the third book comes out, I'm so excited to see how the story continues!

Let me know in the comments if you might be interested in reading these books or what you're currently reading instead!
