Book Haul | 4

I might have gone a little crazy with my book buying recently, but my excuse is that everywhere seems to be doing amazing deals right now and I can't pass on discounted books! I've bought so many books that I've been desperate to read for ages so I'm looking forward to diving into them!

The first book I got was 'These Broken Stars' by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner. I've heard quite a lot of people talking about this book so I think it's pretty popular! This is about a spaceship that crash lands on the nearest planet with only two survivors. It then follows this pair as they search for help on this strange planet and uncover some hidden truths. I seem to have been really in the mood for something quite sci-fi recently. I've been rewatching all of the Doctor Who episodes and now I really want to read something that's set in space so I'm very excited for this!
The next book I got is 'Alienated' by Melissa Landers. In this book, aliens have made contact with earth, and the story follows a girl named Cara as she becomes the roommate of a young alien boy in college, the first alien exchange student. It then follows the pair as their relationship grows and Cara learns more about the reasons why he came to Earth. Again, I'm super excited to read this. I've heard a lot of good things about this story so hopefully I enjoy it!

These next three I purchased from amazon in a 3 books for £10 deal they were doing.
The first book I got is 'The Shock Of The Fall' by Nathan Filer. I pretty much know nothing about this book other than that it's told from the view of a man that suffers from a mental illness. I've heard a lot of people say it is a fantastic book that stays with you forever and I'm extremely interested in reading this!
The next book I got is 'Landline' by Rainbow Rowell. I've already read 'Eleanor and Park' and I thought that was great so I've been slowly collecting her books. This is about a girl called Georgie who has a telephone that can call the past! It then follows her story as she makes the decision of whether to change her past so as to make the future better. I'm really excited to read this as I think it's going to be a nice quick fun read!
The final book I got in this bunch is 'The Humans' by Matt Haig. Again, I pretty much know nothing about this book other than it follows a man who one day suddenly hates the human race. He can't eat, he doesn't want to wear clothes, and the only friend he has is a dog. I'm so intrigued by this book and it looks quite short so I'm hoping it'll be a nice quick read for me!

The next set of books I got were again from the 3 for £10 deal. I got two books by Jenny Han, 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before' and the sequel to that 'P.S I Still Love You'. This is about a girl who writes a love letter to every guy she's ever been with, and then one day those letters get sent out! I have no idea what story the sequel follows as I won't let myself look at the blurb, but these look like fun beachy reads so I got these for my holiday!
The next book I got was 'Dream A Little Dream' by Giovanna Fletcher. I adore Giovanna, I think she's such a lovely person and I own all of the books she's written so far. I have only read 'Billy and Me' but I am going to be taking 'Dream A Little Dream' and her other book 'You're The One That I Want' on holiday with me. It follows a girl named Sarah who dreams of the perfect man and then one day he suddenly appears in her life. This book just seems like a really good romance novel and the perfect book to read whilst lounging around the pool!

The next book I got is 'I'll Give You The Sun' by Jandy Nelson. I honestly have no idea what this book is about, only that it follows a set of twins as they grow up and experience different things in life. I've heard a lot of people talking about this book and everybody seems to love it so I thought I would pick it up!
The last book in this book haul is Power Games by Victoria Fox. This follows the story of 7 famous celebrities as the plane they are on crashes onto a deserted island and they all attempt to survive. This has been put across as a perfect beach read so this is coming on holiday with me as well. It is quite big but hopefully I'll get through it in my sunbathing time!

I hope you enjoyed this post and please let me know in the comments what books you might be reading and any recommendations you might have!
