Hello Autumn

I've mentioned this many times before but autumn is my absolute favourite time of the year and I'm so happy that it's finally here! Even though I absolutely hate being cold, I am definitely more of a winter girl than I am summer. I love being able to wrap up in giant coats and fluffy scarves and my absolute favourite kind of weather is freezing cold with glorious sunshine! Autumn brings along halloween, bonfire night, my birthday and christmas, and I absolutely cannot wait. I thought I would share some of my favourite things about autumn and give this wonderful season the praise it deserves!

COZY JUMPERS
I would live in jumpers all year round if I could. Especially christmas jumpers! There's just something about having a giant 3D reindeer coming out of your top that makes life so much better!
BONFIRE NIGHT
Bonfire night is one of my favourite days of the year. I adore being wrapped up warm outside with a bonfire going watching all the fireworks with my friends!
COLOURS
The leaves changing colour to reds, oranges and yellows just makes everything feel so cozy and beautiful. I once went to Paris in mid October and just walking through a park with all the leaves falling made me feel all warm and mushy inside!
RAINY DAYS/HAVING THE FIRE ON
There's just something about being tucked up under a blanket with the fire on and the rain chucking it down outside, reading a good book with a cup of tea that makes me feel like I'm genuinely in heaven!
CANDLES
I absolutely adore candles and the scents that you can find around this time of the year just smell a-bloomin-mazing!
 HOT BATHS
Okay I know baths are an all-year-round thing but you just can't beat when you are freezing cold or come home sopping wet from the rain, and you just step into that hot bath with candles and bath bombs and finally relax!
 BLANKETS
We have these huge giant tartan blankets that we usually take camping with us, and being someone who doesn't really like sitting in my dressing gown, I love being able to wrap a huge comfy blanket around me when I'm cold.
HALLOWEEN
Even though I absolutely hate horror movies or anything remotely scary for that matter, I am definitely someone that loves dressing up and throwing a halloween party. Last year I went as The Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland, but I feel like that wasn't quite scary enough so if you have any halloween costume ideas let me know in the comments!
AUTUMN MAKEUP
I love doing a dark smokey eye, but I feel like in the spring/summer you can't get away with wearing this as a day time look without looking too dolled up. But when autumn rolls around, darker colours are in and suddenly that smokey eye with a dark red lip looks wonderful as a day look!
CHRISTMAS
I know technically christmas counts as winter, but autumn just brings the realisation that christmas is around the corner and in all honestly... I start shopping for christmas things the minute halloween is over and done with!

I love this time of year so much that I wish time would slow down so I can fully appreciate it. Let me know in the comments what some of your favourite things are about autumn and whether you share my love for the things I mentioned!
