Christmas Day Make-Up

Christmas day is literally just around the corner so I thought I would share with you guys a make-up look that will take you through the day and into the evening! I always like to glam my make-up up a bit for christmas day as I want to make an effort and wear a bit more than usual. Again, like my christmas party make-up, this is just an eye and lip look but if you'd like to see the exact face make-up I will be doing on christmas day you can see that HERE!

Make-Up
No7 Stay Perfect Eye Base
Urban Decay Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette
Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Eyeliner - 001 Black
No7 Stay Perfect Eye Pencil - Black
Maxfactor Masterpiece Mascara - Rich Black
Revlon Matte Lipstick - 001 Nude Attitude
Revlon Lipgloss - 150 Peach Petal

I wanted this look to be really fast and easy because I don't want to waste all of christmas day spending hours doing my make-up, so I started off by taking one of my favourite shades from the Naked 2 palette, Chopper and applying this all over my lid and my inner crease. I then blended this out to make sure there were no harsh lines. Then, I took the colour Busted and applied this generously to my outer crease. I wanted the eyeshadow to be quite dramatic as I wasn't going to include any darker shades in this so I blended this out quite high!

I then went in with my new Rimmel London Eyeliner and applied this along my upper lash line and out into a cat flick. This is so easy to do when you have a felt tip liner, it took me barely any time at all. I personally wear eye-liner on almost an every day basis and this makes applying it so much quicker. I also then applied the No7 Eye Pencil to my water line!

I then applied my favourite mascara, Maxfactor Masterpiece, and my eyes are done. I did contemplate doing a much darker smokey eye, but I felt like I wanted something that was natural for the day time yet would also still look quite glam when it came to the evening and I think this does that perfectly.

I did contemplate applying a red lip to finish this look but I thought I would change things up a bit and go for the Revlon Matte Lipstick in 001 Nude Attitude. This is a really gorgeous nude shade that complements the eye look and I then went over this with a Revlon Lipgloss in the shade Peach Petal to add that extra bit of shine. I really think this is a lovely christmas day make-up look and if you wanted to make it more dramatic for the evening you could easily blend a darker shade into your outer crease and swap the lip for a deep red!

I hope this has helped some of you in deciding what look to go for on christmas day and let me know in the comments if this is something you might consider recreating!
