Christmas Traditions

I thought today I would share some of the festive traditions myself and my family like to do on christmas day!
When I was younger our christmas eve tradition was that we would all go round to my mums friends house to see her and her daughter, who used to open their presents at midnight on christmas eve (I'm not sure if they still do) so we would get to see them open all their presents and get ourselves excited for the next morning. Our mornings were quite typical with all of us spending it at home opening our presents in the morning and then lounging around for a few hours playing with them all. Last year was the first year in my life that I left home around 11am to go and have a christmas dinner with my boyfriend and all his family. I loved it but it felt so strange to be leaving home on christmas day! The main tradition we have on christmas is that we all go round to my grandparents house in the evening and the whole family comes round for a giant family gathering (there's a lot of us). We catch up, eat nibbles and then once we're all settled and merry, we all gather round my grandparents table and play a board game together. Usually we play trivial pursuit, but I won't lie to you, I hardly ever know the answer to a question. I think I got two last year and that was it, all the rest I have no clue! So we tend to play a game called articulate now as it means all 3 of the generations can play properly! This usually goes on until about 3 in the morning and I love it so much. I honestly don't ever want it to change and I can't wait to spend my christmas this way in a few days time!
Let me know in the comments what your christmas traditions are and whether you do similar things!
