March | 2016

I can't believe we're at the end of March. Where is this year going?! It feels like new year was only yesterday and I don't like how quick everything is moving. But the end of the month brings with it a new roundup post, so I hope you enjoy!

BOOKS
I've been stuck in a reading slump since the beginning of the year. I'm currently on the third and final book in the Dancing Jax trilogy by Robin Jarvis and I'm just reading SO slowly. I started this book at the beginning of March and I still haven't finished. I'm about 400 pages in so I'm hoping to have this done by the end of the week, fingers crossed!

BEAUTY/SKINCARE
I updated my entire skincare routine this month. I've been struggling with breakouts recently so I did a lot of research and looked up some products that are supposed to help. It's only been a few days so far so I'm not really seeing many changes but I hope by this time next month my skin will be on the mend! In terms of makeup I haven't really purchased much recently apart from two NYX lipsticks which I'm posting a review of on sunday so make sure to check back for that!

MUSIC
I've been loving listening to old songs from my early teenage years this month. A lot of JoJo songs have made a reappearance on my iPod along with a bit of S Club 7 and NSYNC. I have no shame!

FILMS
I've wanted to see the film Jupiter Ascending for quite a while now and I finally got around to watching it this month and to be honest I wasn't a fan! I just had such high hopes for it. I love films that involve space and the all-star cast sounded amazing but it just didn't do it for me. I was confused by the story and there were parts that were a bit to cheesy for me! I'm gutted I didn't enjoy it but hopefully April will include some films that I really like!

LIFE
The first half of March was pretty stressful! The build up to my deadlines meant a lot of worrying and stress and I'm the type of person that overthinks everything making it ten times worse, BUT, I met all of my deadlines so now it's just a waiting game for my grades to come back and see what I can work on for my next set of assessments in May! Once my deadlines were over with Easter rolled around and I've had a much needed break from university, managed to get some life things organised and hopefully will be all sorted and ready to go back to uni again soon!

GOALS
I have a whole blog post coming soon talking about where I'm at with my 2016 goals so far so I'm going to save that for then!

  3. I really want to be that person that reads loads of books... that's never me though! My skin has been terrible recently, over the last week it's improved quite a bit and I think it might be because I've not been having as much milk in my diet. I'm really stressed because of exams at the moment as well! I'm sure all your grades will be amazing!

    1. Me too, reading books is my absolute favourite thing to do but I'm such a slow reader that I don't get through many! I've heard a lot of people say cutting out dairy is great for your skin. I think mine are hormonal but I do have a lot of dairy in my diet so I definitely might try cutting down on that! Aw thank you, I hope so too and I'm sure you'll do brilliant in yours :) xxx

  7. I've recently switched up my skincare routine as well to try and combat breakouts. I've actually been using the Oskia cleansing gel for a few months now and I've found it's really helping my skin, I barely ever seem to break out anymore which is pretty much unheard of for my skin.
