Top 5 Stand Alone Books

Quite a while ago I wrote a blog post telling you guys my Top 10 Books of all time, and I enjoyed writing that so much that I thought I would share with you guys my top 5 stand alone books. I mentioned numerous different series of books on my old post so I thought I would dedicate this solely to the stand alones! Even though these are my current favourites, I can guarantee this list will have probably changed within the next month, so there may be an updated version in the future!

LOOKING FOR ALASKA BY JOHN GREEN
If you saw my top 10 books post then you're probably wondering why The Fault In Our Stars isn't on this list, and it's simply because I'm starting to think I prefer Looking for Alaska. Don't get me wrong I adore TFIOS, but I remember reading this in a few hours and absolutely loving it! I'm sure most of you will have already read this but if you haven't it basically follows the relationship between Miles, an awkward shy boy, and Alaska, a mysterious fun crazy girl. It will take you on such a rollercoaster and leave you emotionally exhausted!

BEAUTIFUL DISASTER BY JAMIE MCQUIRE
I was in a book store with my friend Tegan a few years back and she spotted this book because of how beautiful the cover was. We both bought it and we both LOVED it! It's the perfect book to read when you're craving a romantic easy read but also something a bit more exciting than your typical chick lit. This follows the relationship between Abby and Travis and how their relationship grows when they learn more about each others history. Writing this now has actually made me realise how long it's been since I've read this so I definitely think it's time for a re-read soon!

THE STATISTICAL PROBABILITY OF LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT BY JENNIFER E SMITH
This is a tiny book, I don't even think it reaches 200 words, and it's set over the course of 24 hours. Our main character Hadley misses her flight to Britain to attend her dad's wedding; because of this she ends up sitting next to a boy called Oliver on the next flight and the story follows the pair as they get to know each other over the course of this plane ride. It's all about fate and destiny and whether you believe in that kind of thing and it's just a lovely story of how wonderful things can happen even when you least expect it!

LANDLINE BY RAINBOW ROWELL
Last year was the year I was introduced to Rainbow Rowells' books and I LOVE them. Landline is about a woman named Georgie who discovers a telephone in her parents house that can call the past. The story then follows Georgie as she tries to deal with this crazy discovery and how she learns more about her relationship with Neal, her husband. I loved this story so much, I fell in love with some of the characters, especially Neal, and I just thoroughly enjoyed this from start to finish. I can't wait to make my way through my collection of Rainbow Rowell books!

NIGHT OWLS BY JENN BENNETT
If you saw my What I Read In 2015 post, then you will have seen that this book made it to my number 1 favourite read of 2015. I won't go into too much detail because I did a full review on this book which you can read HERE, but I'll just tell you that this book is utterly fantastic. I absolutely adored the characters, the story, how different it was from your typical teenage romance book, how the book involved so many deep issues and just the entire book in general! I cannot wait to re-read this and fall in love with it all over again and if you're currently stuck for which book to read next, I definitely recommend you pick this one up!

I hope you enjoyed this post and please leave any book recommendations in the comments!
