July | 2016

I know everyone says this, but I can't believe we're into the second half of the year already. It's actually quite scary how quickly time can go, one minute I was planning my new year goals, the next it's 7 months in and I have no idea what I've spent all that time doing. I guess realising that time goes quickly kind of gives you another kick up the bum to get things done!

BOOKS
I finished re-reading the 5th Harry Potter book this month and am now onto the 6th one, Half-Blood Prince! After the 800 pages in TOOTP, this one feels much easier to read so I'm aiming to finish it by the end of next week and finally start the last one and finish re-reading the series!

MUSIC
I know I mentioned a few months back that I was having an MCR binge but recently I've honestly been listening to them non-stop. The little teaser they released a week or so ago got my hopes up so high for a reunion but unfortunately that's not happening. The song I've been listening to the most is Planetary (Go!), it never fails to get me up dancing and feeling motivated!

FILMS
I saw two new films at the cinema this month. One called Central Intelligence with Kevin Hart and The Rock which was so good! It was so strange seeing Kevin Hart as the serious character and The Rock being the crazy funny guy but it worked so well, the film is a great comedy and I would highly recommend it if you're looking for a laugh! The other film was of course, Me Before You. I read the book a few years ago and absolutely loved it so obviously I had to go and see the film. I cried like a baby! Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin are insanely good at playing Will and Louisa, they're hilarious together and work so well. This film will grab your heart, smush it with love and then crush it into pieces... go and see it!

LIFE
This month has been quite a slow one in the fact that I've been finding it hard to find motivation from anywhere. I think sleep may be quite a big factor as I've been struggling to get into a good sleeping pattern and also the weather plays quite a large part in my motivation. I'm an autumn/winter girl and I feel my best when I wake up to a crisp autumn morning so all this sticky summer heat with all rain and no sunshine isn't the best! Saying that though I have had some lovely days this month. I've been to a few house parties thrown by family and friends and I also travelled to Sheffield for the day to go to the theatre (post on that HERE).

GOALS
I've made quite a bit of progress with one goal in particular this month, which is my patchwork quilt! I've been knitting like crazy and my gran has been sewing a few of the pieces together so it's finally starting to look like an actual blanket. I've done okay for reading this month but I'm really hoping to get going on writing in August, I want to get as much done as I can before I'm back at uni!
