Autumn Goals

I am so completely ready for all things to autumn to finally begin and enjoy the rest of this year as much as I possibly can. It always seems to go so quickly and before I know it it's the start of a new year so I am determined to make the most of this time whilst it's here! I thought it would be nice to write a little list of some things I want to do/achieve in the coming months because who doesn't love a good list?!

KNIT LIKE CRAZY
I've mentioned numerous times on this blog that myself and my gran are currently knitting a patchwork quilt together and I really want to get as much as I can done by the end of the year. Plus this time of year is perfect for knitting whilst getting all cosy in front of the telly in your pyjamas!

HAVE MORE PAMPER EVENINGS
I love a good soak in a relaxing bath but I don't do it nearly as often as I'd like to so I want to make the effort to pamper myself a bit more in the coming months. After the kind of year this has been, I definitely think I deserve some pamper time!

FINISH READING THE NOUGHTS & CROSSES SERIES
It was one of my reading goals this year to read the Noughts & Crosses series by Malorie Blackman and I'm halfway through the first of four books so I'd really like to finish these by the end of the year. I've slowed down with my reading a bit recently so hopefully it'll pick up with the amount of cosy nights in I plan on having!

SPEND MORE TIME WITH MY FAMILY
I recently went to stay with my grandparents for the weekend and I loved it so much. It was so nice to spend proper time with them and relax in a different environment so I'd really like to do more of that. My family have been amazing recently with all the crappy things going on so I definitely want to spend more of my time appreciating them!

BUY A NEW CAMERA AND DOCUMENT THINGS
I've wanted a new camera for a while now so I'd really like to take the plunge and purchase one before the year is up! I've loved photography for years and I would really like to start taking more pictures of my every day life. Things like days out with friends or cosy nights in or family gatherings I'd love to be able to document and scrapbook!

DECORATE THE HOUSE FOR AUTUMN/CHRISTMAS
I went shopping with my mum recently and I purchased myself some new autumn bedding, candles, lights and all things lovely so I plan to get all that set up as soon as possible! I always decorate the house for christmas but I never decorate for autumn which seems silly given how much I love it so if I plan to make the most of this time of year then I need to surround myself in it!

WRITE IN MY JOURNAL MORE
I've kept a journal since I was 12 years old and I absolutely love it. Obviously being older now I'm a lot busier and there's much less time to write but I'd really like to start making the effort to write every other day! I love being able to look back on days I had 10 years ago and still remember them and I want to be able to do that forever so I need to get my bum in gear and get writing!

GO ON AUTUMNAL WALKS
My family go walking every sunday and I'd really like to start joining them! I love being out in the fresh air and I'm so excited to see the leaves change, plus a little bit of exercise probably wouldn't hurt as I do none whatsoever right now!

What are your goals for autumn?

  1. I really want to buy a new camera this autumn as well. I tend to leave my SLR camera at home because I just find it too big to carry around. I just want something a little more compact so that I can shoot when I am out and about!

    1. I'd love to have an SLR but they're far too expensive right now! I've been looking at the Sony A5000 which seems pretty good! :) xxx

  5. I love your goals, very autumny inspired. Mine are similar to yours except I don't knit. But, I do paint and I want to do more of it :) Pampering nights have been off my radar for months and I've only just restarted them. And, I enjoy it so much.
