Autumn Goals

Now that we're well into the autumn season I thought it would be nice to document some of the things I'd like to do before the end of the year. Autumn always seems to go by so quickly so I'm determined to make the most of the brisk weather and cosy nights in before it's all over!

KNIT LIKE CRAZY
I've mentioned a few times before that my gran and I are currently knitting a patchwork quilt together and I'd really like to get as much as I can done by the end of the year. This time of year is perfect for knitting as it's an excuse to get cosy in the evenings so hopefully I'll get lots done!

HAVE MORE PAMPER EVENINGS
I definitely don't treat myself to a relaxing soak in the bath as often as I should, even though coming in from the cold and rain and getting straight into a hot bath is one of the best feelings!

FINISH READING THE NOUGHTS & CROSSES SERIES
It was one of my reading goals this year to read the Noughts & Crosses series by Malorie Blackman and I'm halfway through the first of four books so I'd really like to finish these by the end of the year. I've slowed down with my reading a bit recently so hopefully it'll pick up with the amount of nights in I plan on having!

SPEND MORE TIME WITH MY FAMILY
I recently went to stay with my grandparents for the weekend and it was so lovely. Spending time in a different environment and getting quality time with both of them was so nice so I'd really like to do more of that.

BUY A NEW CAMERA AND DOCUMENT THINGS
I've wanted a new camera for a while now so I'd really like to take the plunge and purchase one before the year is up. I also want to start scrapbooking so I'll have to start snapping away to do that!

DECORATE THE HOUSE FOR AUTUMN/CHRISTMAS
I went shopping with my mum recently and I purchased myself some new autumn bedding, candles, fairy lights and lots of lovely autumnal things so I'm hoping to get all of that set up soon. I like using this time of year to make my surroundings as comfortable as possible!

WRITE IN MY JOURNAL MORE
I've kept a journal for a long time but recently I haven't been writing as much as I'd like to. Being much more busy nowadays means I have less time than I used to, but I'd like to try and dedicate maybe a few minutes each day to jotting something down in there. I like being able to look back on my life in the future.

GO ON AUTUMNAL WALKS
My family go out walking quite often and I can't wait for the leaves to turn bright red and start falling from the trees. Walking in autumn is my favourite because the air is so fresh, plus a little more exercise would definitely not hurt!

What are your goals for autumn?

  1. I really want to buy a new camera this autumn as well. I tend to leave my SLR camera at home because I just find it too big to carry around. I just want something a little more compact so that I can shoot when I am out and about!

    1. I'd love to have an SLR but they're far too expensive right now! I've been looking at the Sony A5000 which seems pretty good! :) xxx

  5. I love your goals, very autumny inspired. Mine are similar to yours except I don't knit. But, I do paint and I want to do more of it :) Pampering nights have been off my radar for months and I've only just restarted them. And, I enjoy it so much.
