October | 2016

I've been so busy recently that this month has completely flown by. I'm not complaining though because November is bringing my birthday and then it also means we're even closer to Christmas!

I finished the first book in the Noughts and Crosses series by Malorie Blackman this month and am now well into the second book, Knife Edge! Ideally I'd like to have finished all four books by the end of november because I really want to read a christmas book in december so I'm hoping I can get that done. November is my deadline month so I'm not sure how much reading I'm going to get done but fingers crossed I can find the time!

I repurchased the classic Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish this month as like I mentioned in my Autumn Skincare Routine, I'm going back on Roaccutane soon so I've had to change my skincare products to things that are much more gentle. I haven't really been loving any new beauty products, although I did pick up some Barry M Molten Metals nail polishes which I really like! I wore the copper shade for a halloween party last night and thought it looked really good!

I've been loving listening to Twin Atlantics' old album 'Free' this month and reliving my college days when I saw them live in Manchester. I love re-discovering music I used to listen to, it fills me with so much nostalgia!

I haven't been to the cinema at all this month but I have binge watched all four Indiana Jones films! I suddenly had a real urge to watch them back to back so I got all cosy on the couch one day and went film crazy, it was lovely. I stayed out a lot this month at family and friends houses and we ended up watching every disney film you can think of but I did also FINALLY watch the new (now old) Star Wars! My sister and brother in law have been pestering me to watch it for so long and when I stayed at their house the other week we finally did and I LOVED it! Unfortunately I knew most of what happened because of spoilers but I still loved it, I felt like I was revisiting my childhood watching a star wars film for the first time.

Life has been mental this month. I've been seeing friends, visiting family and attending appointments non stop so I'm quite excited for things to calm down a bit in November! It has been nice keeping busy though. I feel like each month I'm making more and more progress to feeling normal again which is good. Although I do have three university deadlines approaching so I am feeling the stress building up! But on the whole, things are getting better.

I've been trying to make the most of the cosy nights in and have got quite a lot of reading and knitting done! I've pretty much officially given up with learning a new instrument, there's just too many things going on right now, but the other goals are going well!

  1. I don't think I've ever seen any of the Indiana Jones movies! I should really get on that!
