Three Looks, One Palette | Urban Decay Naked 2

The Urban Decay Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette was the first ever high end product that I purchased, and is pretty much the only palette I use. I do own some others, but none are quite as good as this one. It has every day to day eyeshadow look you could ever need and I never see myself reaching for something else. The quality of the eyeshadows are what makes this palette worth every penny and I use it every day and still haven't made a dent into any of the shades. There are numerous different looks you can achieve from this palette but I thought it would be nice to share my top three go to eyeshadow looks. All of these are created using the two sided brush that comes with the palette so you don't need any fancy expensive brushes either. The mascara I used for all of these looks is the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara!

1) Gold
This is the look I use every time I leave the house for university, or if I just need to nip to an appointment/go food shopping etc. This takes literally two seconds. I use the flat side of the brush to apply the colour Half Baked all over my lid and then I use the fluffy side to blend out the edges, and that's it! If you were in an even bigger rush, you could literally just use your little finger to apply the eye shadow and then you've eliminated the extra step of blending! I have green eyes and the gold makes the colour stand out so much that I absolutely love wearing this on a day to day basis.

2) Brown
This is the look I tend to go for if I'm meeting up with a friend for lunch or doing something a bit more special than just attending university. It's a lot more intense than the gold look but I think using brown rather than black keeps it from looking too done up! For this look, I apply the colour Tease all over my lid and also in my crease. I then blend this out using the fluffy side of the brush. Then, I apply the colour Chopper solely to my lid and again blend it out. I also applied a bit of the colour Tease underneath my lower lash line. I tried out this look after seeing a lot of people on pinterest using a matte shade within the crease and a shimmery shade on the eye lid and I loved it! I've actually done a full post on this eyeshadow look, which you can check out HERE, however for that one I used a brown pencil liner rather than the black pen I've used here. I don't mind not wearing eyeliner for uni because it takes too long in the morning, but if I'm doing anything with friends I absolutely have to wear eyeliner! I'm currently using the Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner pen and I love it. It's so easy to use!

3) Black
This is the look I wear if I'm getting dolled up. If I'm going out for drinks or somewhere that's a bit more fancy then I always like to go a lot heavier on the eyes. For this look, I started off by applying the colour Verve all over my lid. I then went in with the colour Pistol and applied this to my outer lid and slightly in the crease. I then took the colour Blackout and applied this within my crease before blending it out. Blackout applies incredibly dark but once it's blended it becomes a lot less intense! And of course, a black smokey eye is never complete without eye liner. I also applied a bit of Pistol underneath my lower lash line to add a bit more smokiness!

I absolutely love that you can create so many different looks with this palette, and there are so many other shades that I haven't even mentioned in this post! If you're looking into high end makeup but don't know what to try out, I would definitely recommend this. It's by far the best makeup purchase I've probably ever made in terms of quality and how long it's lasting!

Have you used this palette? Do you like it?
