November | 2016

It's less than a month until christmas and I am so ready for all things festive! I plan to make the most of christmas this year and hopefully end this year on a positive note!

This month I finished the second book in the Noughts and Crosses series by Malorie Blackman, Knife Edge and am now on to the third book Checkmate. I don't think I'm going to finish the entire series in time to read a christmas book but that's okay, I'll still have completed another of my reading goals!

I'm back on Roaccutane now so my skin has been pretty bad for the past month and I've had to be quite sensitive with the products I'm using. I'm thinking about doing an update post on how the Roaccutane is going and what side effects I experience so that might be up on the blog at some point!

I've been loving Louisa Johnsons' song 'So Good' this month, it's been on repeat quite often. Aside from that I haven't really been listening to that much new music, deadlines have kind of taken over most of my time!

I watched Ice Princess this month, which was one of my absolute favourite films when I was a teenager. It's about this girl who starts to study figure skating for her physics project and ends up training to complete as a figure skating champion. It's just bloomin' wonderful and makes me wish I was an ice skater. I actually became a tad bit obsessed with this film when I was younger and spent so many of my weekends going to the ice skating rink. My mum even bought me my own pair of ice skates, that's how obsessed I was!

The first half of this month was completely taken over by university deadlines. November always brings with it the first lot of assessments but even though it was stressful I'm hoping I did okay. My grades actually count towards my degree this year so I need to make sure I'm doing okay!
Then it was my birthday and I turned 22! I wrote a post on how my birthday shenanigans went which you can read HERE, but 2016 is just out to get me and I ended up being ridiculously ill on my birthday and had to cancel all my plans! Luckily I managed to reschedule with a few people for the weekend after so it was all good. The rest of this month has just been spent trying to organise things and prepare for december and christmas! I have another deadline in a few weeks so university will probably end up taking over again soon!

I went round to my grans the other day and she had stitched together all of the pieces I've been knitting for the quilt and it looked so good! I'm so happy with the way it's coming along and I can't wait to get it finished!

  5. I love Louisa's new one too, she's so good!

  6. My mum used roaccutane because she had quite bad acne due to pregnancy and I know that there was a whole list of possible side effects! Luckily she didn't suffer from any of them though.

    1. She was very lucky! My side effects have definitely been worse this second time round than they were the first time I went on Roaccutane! xxx
