Top 5 Romance Reads

Keeping up with featuring more book related posts on this blog, I thought it would be nice to share my current top five romance reads. I like the idea of turning this into a little series and sharing my top five of different genres, so if you have any recommendations for books I should read please let me know in the comments!

THE STATISTICAL PROBABILITY OF LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT BY JENNIFER E SMITH
This is only a short book, and is set over the course of 24 hours so it feels even shorter when you're reading it! It's a quick little love story all about fate and destiny, and whether you believe in that sort of thing. It's a lovely, quick read and definitely a book I'd recommend for a holiday.

DREAM A LITTLE DREAM BY GIOVANNA FLETCHER
This is by far my favourite book of Giovannas'. It's a lovely romance read about a girl who, in an emotional time within her life, starts to have a dreams about someone she used to know. This person then makes an appearance back into her life, and it follows her story as she works on herself, her career, her love life and move on from the emotional baggage she's been carrying. I really enjoyed this book and was rooting for a happy ending the whole way through, but I also loved how it dealt with other issues alongside the romance. I read this whilst I was on holiday and there were definitely some teary moment by the pool!

ME BEFORE YOU BY JOJO MOYES
I'm sure a lot of you will have already read this book and that doesn't surprise me! I actually read this a long time ago back in 2012 when I was on holiday in France, and this book and me laughing and crying. If you don't know what it's about, it follows a girl called Louisa who becomes a carer for a man named Will, who was in a motorbike accident and is now paralysed from the neck down. It's a gorgeous, emotional read and if you haven't read it I urge you to go out and get yourself a copy.

BEAUTIFUL DISASTER BY JAMIE MCGUIRE
Myself and my friend buddy read this years ago and we both absolutely loved it. It's set in a university and follows the characters Abby and Travis as they meet, form a friendship, and begin a relationship together. It feels like an action-packed romance novel and I really enjoyed the characters and their development throughout the book. I also liked that Abby has a feisty temper to match Travis', and that she gives just as good as she gets!

NIGHT OWLS BY JENN BENNETT
This is more of a YA romance novel than adult, but this was one of my favourite reads of 2015 and I had to include it in this list. It follows the relationship between Beatrix, and aspiring medical illustrator, and Jack, the local graffiti artist. I really enjoyed how original the characters felt in this novel and seeing how their relationship developed throughout. It's also a short read so if you're looking for some fun, individual, and quick then definitely check this novel out!
