Book Haul | 8

I haven't done a book haul since september last year so I figured it was about time I changed that. I've bought lots of new books recently, some of these you may have already seen me mention in my Books On My 2017 Reading List post, but I thought I would put a few together to show you guys!

EVERYTHING EVERYTHING BY NICOLA YOON
This story follows a young girl named Maddy, who is allergic to pretty much the entirety of the outside world, which results in her being confined to her house. One day, she meets a young boy named Olly, and the two of them begin to wish for an adventure that Maddy can't achieve by staying indoors.
I've heard lots of positive things about this book and it has recently been turned into a film so I'm looking forward to diving into this story.

THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR BY NICOLA YOON
Unlike the previous book, I hadn't actually heard that much about this novel by the same author. This novel is also a YA romance, following the story of Natasha and Daniel as they meet on a hot New York day and fall madly in love, twelve hours before Natasha is being deported to Jamaica. It's all about fate and destiny, which I really enjoy reading about, so hopefully I'll enjoy reading this story!

NOD BY ADIRAN BARNES
This was the first book in a while that I picked up because the cover looked interesting and ended up being hooked by the blurb!
One morning, it's realised throughout the world that only around one in every ten thousand people slept last night, and will ever sleep again. Paul, our main character, is one of the lucky few who can still sleep, and gradually he watches as his partner Tanya, and the rest of the world, gradually become more and more psychotic with every passing night.
It sounds very thriller-esque, very interesting and hopefully very insightful into the human mind so I cannot wait to dive into this.

BIG MAGIC ELIZABETH GILBERT
I've already mentioned this book in a previous post so I won't dive into this too much, but it's essentially a non-fiction, self-help book, all about creativity. I'm someone who often goes through creative slumps so I'm looking forward to seeing what this book has to offer.

A MONSTER CALLS BY PATRICK NESS
This is another book that I've mentioned briefly before, and I'm sure a lot of you will have heard about the recent film adaptation, but I'm not actually sure what this book is about. I've heard a lot of good things, and that it's supposed to be very emotional, so I think I'll keep this for an evening when I'm in the mood for a good cry!

What books have you bought recently?
