April | 2017

I'm making a change! I haven't really been loving these roundup posts recently, especially since I went back to only uploading on a sunday so there's roughly only 4 or 5 posts per month. I've fallen a bit out of love with them and I definitely think that if something doesn't feel right you should change it, so, this will be the last monthly roundup post! I've decided that every once in a while I'm just going to throw in a 'life update' post, rather than one every month. I hope that's okay!

BOOKS
I'm currently about 60 pages away from the end of a book called The Humans by Matt Haig and I LOVE IT! You can expect a full post dedicated to this book in the future because it is honestly so good. Within the first few pages it already had me laughing and whilst it is hilarious, it's also clever, insightful, motivational and emotional. I can't wait to talk more about this book!

BEAUTY/SKINCARE
I came off Roaccutane this month. I've only been off it for around a week but I'm terrified! I'm  nervous that the acne will come back now that I'm off the treatment but I guess only time will tell. Hopefully if I keep up with a regular skincare routine all should be fine!

MUSIC
I know a lot of people will probably say I'm really late to this party but I discovered MKTO this month! I absolutely love their song Classic, but I've also been dancing around the house to Bad Girls and Superstitious!

FILMS
Logan!!
I grew up watching the X-Men films with my dad so I was incredibly excited for Logan. It's definitely a more personal, emotional film compared to the jam-packed action of the other x-men films, and it's absolutely beautiful. I loved everything about it and I cried like a baby. Hugh Jackman was incredible as wolverine, as always!

LIFE
I've been off from university this month for an easter break so I've had some much needed down time. My brain never fully stops and I constantly feel like I have a million and one things running through it, but it has been nice to not have to worry about lectures and deadlines for a little while. I'm back at university now and I do have exams and deadlines approaching in may so unfortunately it's back to the grindstone!

  1. I know so many people that were on Roaccutane and had the same concerns as you when they finished their treatment. Luckily, their acne never came back!

I'm heading over to check out the posts/blogs you recommended now!

    1. The first time I went on Roaccutane it cleared my skin up completely until a couple years ago when my hormones were messed with and all the acne came back! I'm hoping it still works this second time round! xxx
