Meet The Blogger - A Second Introduction

Considering it's been around 6+ months since I last published on this blog, I thought it made sense to do a bit of a re-introduction! The last 'meet the blogger' posts I did were around two years and four years ago, so I figured it was time for a bit of a refresh. I thought I would start with the basics and then share a few fun facts that I might not have mentioned before!

Name: Samantha Frances.
FUN FACT ALERT: Frances isn't actually part of my 'real' name. It's been so long now that I can't completely remember how it came about, but Frances is a name I adopted when I was around 18 years old. It's actually the female version of Francis, my grandad's name, which for many many years my mum has always told me she wishes she had given me as a middle name. I instantly felt a connection to this name and loved that it was after my grandad, so I started using it on all of my social medias, and since then Frances has become just as much a part of my identity as Samantha is. There was a brief moment where I attempted to legally add it as part of my middle name, but for some reason I never officially followed through. Maybe one day I will!

Age: 23.
Fast approaching 24 in November. I'm not quite sure how I feel about this upcoming birthday!

Location: Manchester.
I live in the surrounding suburbs of this beautiful northern city and I'm very proud to call it my home.

Occupation: Freelance.
This past summer I graduated with a degree in English Language, and now I'm taking some time to explore freelance writing before I start to consider various masters degrees or career paths. I'm sort of in that stage where life is a little bit all over the place so I'm just completely winging it to be honest!

A FEW FUN FACTS:
  • One of my favourite ways to relax is to knit - knitting is underrated, try it!
  • I can almost moonwalk - I won't be breaking out this dance move at parties any time soon, but you know, it's getting there!
  • One of my life goals is to own a house in the countryside - I want to look out of my window and see fields, forests and nature.
  • I have a ridiculous level of Harry Potter knowledge - seriously, test me.
  • My favourite animal is a pig - it used to be an elephant, but there's just something about pigs that has pushed them into the number one spot.
  • One of my biggest fears is not having children - it's something I've known I wanted since before I can remember.
  • I own around 20+ different themed mugs - and use about two of them.
  • It's become accustom that I faint at gigs - I faint very easily and the heat, crowds, and general environment of gigs resulted in me fainting at most I went to! That doesn't stop me attending them though, I just now have to dance at the back as opposed to the front barrier.
  • I've probably read around 30% of the books on my bookshelf - being a slow reader and having an uncontrollable need to buy books isn't the best combination.
  • When I was younger I wanted to be a figure skater -  I say when I was younger, I still wish I could be a figure skater.

What is a fun fact not many people know about you?
